The First Presbyterian Church was founded in 1886 as a congregation of ordinary human beings who struggle: as individual Christians, as a body of believers called together to serve Jesus Christ and the Montpelier community.

The Mission is: Live by example as a testimony of our faith that others would want to seek out our fellowship. Seek out the needs and create programs to support them, which will lead our church to grow in faith. Create and maintain programs that support God's will to feed, teach, convert and save the church body, community and world.

Our Vision Statement: First Presbyterian Church is a body of beleivers called to help shine the light of Christ into the community through prayer, worship, service, fellowship and love.
